About the Event

You are now allowed to work remotely :-)

Let's take advantage of that on a working hiking trip to Yorkshire Dales, a place highly underrated and many believe it is more beautiful than the Lake District.

Wake up every day to the sound of birds and sheep, and to the smell of the countryside.

Meals, accommodation and travel are all included.

Just turn up with your personal kit listed below and work equipment. We take care of the rest.

WORKING ITINERARY:

This is the plan for those who have to work, anyone else can have free time or join on another easier day out before we go back to pick up the working bees.

We all leave on Sunday morning with time for a cheeky hike when we get there.

Monday to Wednesday you work your normal working hours and try to escape by 5 pm, or finish work on the minibus en route to our trails.

There is a massive 20 seats table and sofas in a large room where you can work.

The fridge will be stocked with essentials and you can bring your own things to cook in a massive well kitted out kitchen.

On Thursday we leave the house at midday and you work in the minibus with 2 service station stops.

HIKES:

The trail on Sunday might change last minute if we are caught up in traffic, but if all goes to plan we will arrive at Settle by 2 pm and hike:

Settle Caves and Waterfalls Circular

Length: 14.8 km

Elevation gain: 392 m

Time: 4.5 hours

This walk is delightful throughout. The hard work is soon accomplished on the walk onto the fells as soon as Settle is left behind and then after gasping for breath the rest of the day is a joy to behold. There are treats galore in store for lovers of natural beauty with Catrigg Force waterfall being the first jewel to appreciate on this treasure trove outing. After Catrigg Force there are many opportunities to visit caves including Jubilee Cave, Victoria Cave and Attermire Cave. Then to cap off the walk there is a final delight in store at Scaleber Force waterfall before walking back to Settle via Sugar Loaf Hill. One word of advice. Don't forget to take your camera on this walk. You will certainly regret leaving it behind.

On Monday to Wednesday we will hike the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire, one in each day:

Whernside

Height: 736 metres / 2415 ft

Length: 12.9 km

Elevation gain: 542 m

Time: 4.5 hours

The highest of the three peaks with a view of the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.

Ingleborough and Gaping Gill Waterfall

Height: 723 m / 2,372 ft

Length: 14.0 km

Elevation gain: 634 m

Time: 4.5 hours

Even though it is not the highest of the three, it is by far the toughest and the most beautiful.

Pen-y-Ghent

Height: 694 m / 2,277 ft

Length: 9.5 km

Elevation gain: 486 m

Time: 3.5 hours

The little one, with dramatic views across the Dales.
