Transylvania Halloween - Hike, Tour and Party at Dracula's Castle

No other place on Earth will give you the Halloween spookies like Transylvania, where Dracula still roams on the lookout for lost hikers.

On this trip, we will hike in the Bucegi Mountains while looking like we are lost, if that fails to attract the Count we will dare into his lair in the bowels of Castle Bran, where we roam, dine and party. 

THE HIKE

Expect a very hard hike of between 7 to 10 hours with a lot of steep inclination.

The exact trail will be decided closer to the date to allow for bad weather.

You can opt-out of the hike or choose to follow us until the waterfall then make your way back by yourself. There is no discount if you choose this option.

Optionally spend time walking the local parks in Brasov.

THE CASTLE

We will be getting premium tickets to the Halloween event in the castle which includes a night tour, gourmet dinner and access to the party.

ACCOMMODATION

You have the option to stay in a lovely central hostel in shared rooms or a local small apartment in single rooms.

FLIGHTS

Book a flight to Bucharest to arrive there before 5 pm on Thursday

Return flight to leave Bucharest after 1 pm on Sunday

COMMUNICATION

Your guide will create a WhatsApp group before the trip where you can ask questions and where she will organise exact meeting points and times.

ITINERARY

Thursday

Fly to Bucharest and meet your guide by 5 pm to catch the train with the group to Brasov. Your guide will decide the best location to meet once we have everyone's arrival times.

You can opt to arrive a lot earlier to enjoy some time in Bucharest!

Check into your accommodation and sleep.

Friday

We spend the day hiking a mountain or another trail if the weather is too bad. The exact trail will be decided closer to the day.

Saturday

Daytime - Spend the day as a tourist in Brasov, or go on another walk with your guide.

Change accommodation to stay within walking distance from the castle so you will have the freedom to leave the party early or party on until dawn.

Get ready for the party

Nighttime - 6 pm go to the castle for our tour, followed by dinner and party

Sunday

Leave Brasov when you are ready either by yourself or with the group
