Rio de Janeiro! Hiking, beaches and more! (1)

Come visit, party and hike in my hometown Rio de Janeiro during the biggest party in the world, the Brazilian Carnival.

Rio de Janeiro needs no introduction, but there is a lot more to Rio than carnival, beaches and the Christ Redemer, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. 

I will show you all the big attractions, but also the hidden gems and take you on a hike in the largest urban forest in the world, where we retreat for some nature time and to see local fauna and flora.

You will be given a full free day to use as you please. Perhaps venture out of the capital to the outskirts like Arraial do Cabo or Buzios. We will speak with the group to gather interest in this and help you get organised, otherwise, you could spend a day relaxing on the beach, or fly to Iguacu Falls.

With me, you will eat where the locals eat, more cheaply and with better food quality than the touristic traps. 

And of course, we will spend a whole day in samba mode then a whole night in the Sambodromo watching the samba schools compete, which is just as important as football in Brazil, and that is saying a lot for a football world champion.

I will also teach you how to stay safe in my city. In fact, I have brought other groups from the UK there and we had zero bad experiences.

Where possible and safe, we will use public transport to get around which further enhances your experience in the city and saves you money.

FEE

• £980 Shared twin room occupation, with same-gender or chosen person. Per person per bed
• £1340 Single room occupation. Price per person, no sharing. Couples please choose the shared accommodation option.
• £150 Deposit payable now for the shared room
• £180 Deposit payable now for the single occ room

FLIGHTS

Please book your flights to arrive in Rio anytime on the 22nd of February and leave on the 1st of March 2025. 

If you want to extend your trip, we advise you to book your hotel asap as these get sold out fast.

OTHER EXPENSES

Allocate £300 to £500 for expenses while in Rio, but you are likely to spend much less.

Things are very cheap in Brazil an most time we will eat at popular and affordable buffet restaurants where locals will go to eat, but two night we will go somewhere special.

Expect to spend around £100 to £150 for meals.

Meals are paid by your guide then you have to make a bank transfer at the end of the week for the amount you spent. 

Beyond this you will spend money on drinks and any extra activities you choose on your free day.
