About the Event

For such a small place, Northern Ireland (or ‘Norn Iron’ as locals affectionately know it) has some of the most beautiful and exciting places you will find anywhere on earth!

It is no wonder that Northern Ireland became the home of the Game of Thrones, with many of its settings around the country.

If you are a fan of the show, you will recognise quite a few of the places we will be visiting.

This trip will be made up of a full day of touring by minibus and a day hiking, with Thursday and Sunday free to explore Belfast or go visit that one place you really want to go.

We will offer a tour of Belfast by minibus on Sunday.

ITINERARY

FRIDAY

Fly to Belfast, take a bus or taxi to the city (30 minutes) and check into the hostel anytime after 3 pm. We might be able to pick you up from the airport depending on the time you arrive.

There are flights leaving London after work, landing in Belfast by 11 pm. We are happy with that, but we will not be able to use the minibus to pick you up due to drivers' hours as we start early on Saturday. We can arrange for a taxi to pick you up.

SATURDAY

Below are the main things we will visit, more will be added if possible.

The exact time and dates for the below will be confirmed closer to the date:

  • The Dark Hedges
  • Giant’s Causeway
  • Rope Bridge
  • Downhill Strand
  • Dunluce Castle
  • Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne
  • Glenariff Forest Park - easy waterfall walk

SUNDAY

We will start our day at 5 am on Sunday and go for a beautiful but tough hike.

You can opt out of this and spend time in Belfast instead.

  • Slieve Donard – Northern Ireland’s tallest mountain

The best hike in Northern Ireland, Slieve Donard, a mountain in County Down, is a magnificent sight to see, serving as a beautiful backdrop for miles around.
