Hi Mudafucas!

Let's go see another side of the Lake District this autumn by walking the original and best Via Ferrata in the UK!  Via Ferrata Xtreme was introduced at Honister in 2012 to bring a much more challenging (and some say scary) Via Ferrata experience. You do need to be reasonably fit and healthy for the Xtreme.

Much more mountain edge exposure, vertical climbs, cliff edge ladders, plus a Burma Bridge & Cargo Net crossing.

Scramble up the huge Cargo net to reach one of the finest views the Lake District has to offer. Buttermere, Crummock and Loweswater, perfectly framed by Alfred Wainwright`s favourite Fells, Haystacks roll’s out before your very eyes. (Weather dependent)  If you are not so sure about doing the Xtreme version, you can opt for the classic version which is a lot easier.  We will also hike the beautiful Catbells with breathtaking views of Keswick and beyond.

ITINERARY

FRIDAY

Meet at 8 am and drive straight in our minibus to the Lake District for a relaxing free day at Grasmere or meet us at Grasmere in your own car.

What will you do with your time? Go for a swim in the lake, a walk around the village, kick back with a good book to the sound of birds?  If you are camping this is a good time to set up your tent.

SATURDAY

Catbells

One of the top hikes in the Lakes as it is easy enough for anyone to hike up, but it can be made more challenging by extending the hike.  You will have amazing views of Derwent Water and Keswick.  This walk will be about taking many pictures and enjoying nature in good company
