FULL Bushcraft and Survival weekend course in Devon

Would you like to go on a solo hiking adventure, but are afraid that you wouldn't know what to do if things went wrong?

Fear no more!

In this weekend course, you will learn all the skills necessary to survive should you get lost, stuck in a storm or injured, including how to get help when you don't have access to a phone.

What you will learn:

- What kit to carry for a variety of trips

- Which kit to purchase without breaking the bank

- Make a fire

- Set up a tent, including during a storm

- Build a shelter with natural resources, should your day hike take a turn to the worse

- Source safe water to drink

- Get food

- Cooking over a fire

- Stay warm

- First aid

- Improvising from nature (making tent pegs, pot supports, hangers and bindings)

- Map reading and orientation

- Signaling for help

The course will take place on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park in a safe environment.

A WhatsApp group will be set up a few days before the trip and the final details will be given to you. Keep checking your messages on Meetup for the link to the group

This course is for entertainment purposes only and does not provide all the skills necessary for survival in the wilderness.

We do believe that the skills taught in this course might prepare you for a short survival situation in the UK. If travelling abroad or intending on hiking in fierce winter conditions, or staying longer in a wilderness situation, you will need extra training.

We no longer make refunds due to illnesses, including COVID or any other unforeseen events. Please ensure you have adequate insurance coverage.

A full refund will be offered in case we cancel the event for any reason.

On occasions, meeting location, time and other details might have to be changed and the event could also be cancelled last minute in case of extreme weather or other unexpected events.

2 - As with any road trip, there is a chance of heavy traffic, accidents and break-downs which could force us to skip parts of the trip, or stop it completely. We will do our best to make your day better, and of course to avoid any of these, but we expect your understanding on these occasions.

We will make a full refund if the trip is cancelled.
