About the Event
A social trip to help you reconnect with hiking and other people.
Beware! This hike can be very difficult, principally if you have bad knees, but it's good for your health.
9 miles may not sound like a lot, but Box Hill is all about the hills.
Lots of hills.
Steep hills.
Very, very steep hills.
Lots and lots of very, very steep hills.
In this hike we will climb some very steep hills, to get you back in shape.
WHAT YOU WILL SEE
Cross over the Stepping Stones
Salomon's Memorial offering a fine viewpoint to the south.
The South Downs can be seen in the far distance and this is a view worth taking in before the walk proper begins.
We will zig-zag through Box Hill, climbing and descending around five hills.
TRANSPORT AND MEETING POINT
We'll meet at Victoria Station at 10 am in front of platform 11, and leave the meeting point at 10:15 am for the 10:30 am train.
Planned return time to London at 8 pm, but this cannot be guaranteed.
FOOD
We'll stop during the hike for lunch so please bring food and drink.

- Suitable hiking clothes & hiking footwear, trainers are fine.
- Waterproof jacket, trousers and footwear are strongly recommended in case of rain or mud
