Time & Location
24 Aug 2024, 11:00 – 26 Aug 2024, 16:00
isle of wight, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
About the Event
Escape Mainland England and join us on this summer trip to the Isle of Wight - England's largest island.
The Isle of Wight also enjoys its own milder subclimate and is warmer than mainland Southern England. It averages more hours of sunlight a day than most of Western Europe and the same as parts of Northern Spain. Perfect for a Spring weekend trip!
The better weather and beauty of this island have attracted people since Roman times, even leading Britain's longest-ruling Monarch, Queen Victoria, to have her home, Osborne House, built there, where she lived for over half a century.
Come and let us show you this grand island as we hike some of its most spectacular trails, with stunning panoramic sea views over the chalky cliffs.
HIKES
We will hike for 2 days at different areas of the island, and these are:
- THE NEEDLES and TOTLANS BAY circular
13 kilometres - 8 miles
4 hours
300 metres elevation
- SANDOWN TO RYDE
20 kilometres - 12 miles
6 hours
200 metres elevation
